Personal Statement:
Sherril Dodds teaches and researches in the areas of popular dance and dance on screen through a cultural theory approach. Her publications include a sole-authored book, Dance on Screen: Genres and Media from Hollywood to Experimental Art (Palgrave, 2001) and she has contributed to Dance Theatre Journal, Dancing Times, Dance Research Journal, Filmwaves and Animated.
