Following last year’s triumphant performance of
Mahler’s Second Symphony at Guildford Cathedral,
the University Symphony Orchestra and Choir
return to perform Elgar’s magnificent The Dream
of Gerontius. Regarded as his finest choral work,
Gerontius relates the journey of a man’s soul
from his deathbed to his judgement before God.
Wonderful soloists join students and staff for a
dramatic, uplifting and magical evening at the
Cathedral. |
