About us

From lunchtime recitals that are open to the public, to funding large-scale events like the Guildford Book Festival and the Guildford International Music Festival, the University of Surrey is at the heart of a range of arts activities in the local community.

Enjoy the arts at Surrey

Whether you are interested in visual arts, music, literature, dance, film, or any other field of the arts, the University‚Äôs Arts Office, performing arts departments and the GSA all have something exciting to offer, with most of our events open to members of the public.

End-of-degree shows are often publicly performed by our students, while musicals, plays and dance performances are also regularly staged by students at various venues on campus and across Guildford.

We also run a wide variety of visual arts exhibitions on a rolling basis at our on-campus Lewis Elton Gallery. These exhibitions are open to everyone, whether at public or privately booked viewings.
