Vice-Chancellor's Student Lunches
The Vice-Chancellor's Student Lunches provide a unique opportunity for representatives from the student community to come and meet informally with Professor Sir Christopher Snowden to discuss all aspects of life here at Surrey or current issues in the wider Higher Education Sector.
Sir Christopher is always keen to hear about the concerns effecting our students and to listen to their ideas for improvements or new activities. And they do make a difference. The new web-based virtual-learning environment SurreyLearn incorporates ideas that many of our students provided and we have started a major refurbishment of the George Edwards library building following various suggestions from students last year.
There will be three Vice-Chancellor's Student Lunches held per term and invitations will be sent out by e-mail. Places at each lunch are limited and will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
The Vice-Chancellor talks to undergraduate students over lunch.
If you would like to take part:
E-mail Sam Jones if you would like to put your name down for the next lunch.
Please include your name, the subject you are studying and whether you are an undergraduate or postgraduate, your year of study and a contact phone number. It would also be helpful if you could include a brief description of any issues you would like to raise or a question you would like to ask.
