Welcome to the homepage for the University of Surrey archives!

Here you can find information about the historical archives of the University of Surrey, based in Guildford since the late 1960s, and its predecessor institution, Battersea Polytechnic (later known as Battersea College of Technology), which was founded in London in 1891.  We also hold the archives of the British Guild of Travel Writers from the 1960s to the present. 

All are welcome to come and use the collections - we may be able to help you with queries about the Battersea or Guildford sites, people or departments, so do get in touch. We can answer short requests by email, letter or phone or arrange an appointment for you to do research yourself.
