Our collections are catalogued onto specialist software, Calm, which can be searched online to see if we hold anything you may be interested in. New descriptions will be added regularly, as we work on sections of the catalogue, so keep checking back or contact us to ask about when new entries may appear. At the moment you can only see written descriptions of the collections.

Search tips

You can use the advanced search feature to enter any combination of search terms, dates or the reference of a document, if you know it already.

If you would like to search only the University records, do a search for ‘UA*’ in the ‘Ref no.’ field of the advanced search feature. To see just papers in the British Guild of Travel Writers collection, search for ‘TW*’ in the ‘Ref no.’ field.

If no hits are returned, try a different search term or contact us for suggestions.
