Information for Landlords

The University has over 5000 student rooms, but we still need to find accommodation in and around Guildford for over 3000 students each year. We are looking for furnished self-contained houses and flats, and single rooms in houses. The largest groups of students requiring accommodation are 2nd and 3rd year Undergraduates (typically aged 19-22 years). These students are familiar with University life and often form small groups to take on a property jointly. We also occasionally have Postgraduates (typically aged 22 and older) looking for accommodation.

Do you have a room to let?

We are looking for furnished single rooms in houses in and around Guildford from September to June, or from September to Christmas. Rooms should be set up as study-bedrooms with a reasonable sized desk and desk chair, and with access to shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. If you are interested in letting we can advertise the room for you, free of charge. Do you have a house to let?

If you would like to let a whole property to students we can advertise it for you, free of charge. Students require houses in good condition, with full central heating, reasonable sized study-bedrooms, shared kitchen and bathroom facilities and a separate living area. You can download an information pack containing help, advice and requirements for letting a house, as well as a form to be completed to advertise with us. Further Enquiries

Our Office is open from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday (10am-5pm for personal visits) and we are pleased to answer queries from existing or potential landlords. We can advertise details of your accommodation to students who will contact you to arrange viewing. Students will make all their arrangements directly with you, although we encourage them to use our expertise in checking tenancies, deposit arrangements, etc. The peak time for looking is February to September but enquiries do continue all year so it’s never too late to register your accommodation with us.
