University open as usual
We expect the University to open as usual on Monday 6th February.
We anticipate campus services will run as normal with the possible exception of the Arriva Bus route 36/37 which is currently operating via main roads only.

Please do ensure you take care and wear appropriate clothing for the icy conditions.
Staff and students are advised to continue to monitor University communication channels for relevant announcements.

Preparing for winter
An information service run by Surrey County Council is available to help ensure people are as up to date as possible on the measures that they are taking to prepare for severe winter weather. The website provides information on council services as well as advice and suggestions on how people can prepare for winter themselves and also how they can help others.
Details include locations of grit bins, gritting routes, updates on information about schools and libraries and advice on caring for the elderly. There is also advice for residents on how they can share responsibility and help their communities cope with winter pressures such as visiting elderly neighbours. Clarification is given on how best to clear snow from pavements and paths without fear of legal implications.
