Applying to Surrey

After you apply

Find out what happens once you apply for an undergraduate programme at the University of Surrey, and when you can expect a decision from us.

Once you’ve submitted your application to UCAS, it will pass your details on to the University of Surrey and we will send you an email confirming receipt of your application. We’ll also let you know how to log in to Surrey Self-Service.

Track your application

Surrey Self-Service lets you track your University of Surrey application.

We use Surrey Self-Service to let you know if you need to send us any further information so we can assess your application, or if you’re invited to one of our Applicant Days.

You can also track your application through UCAS Track. We advise you to use Surrey Self-Service for the most comprehensive and up-to-date information from Surrey.

Surrey auditions and interviews

For some programmes, you may be invited to audition or interview as part of the application process. If this applies to you, we’ll let you know through Surrey Self-Service.

When will I get a decision?

Entry to the University of Surrey is highly competitive and unfortunately we are unable to offer a place to all applicants.

Equal consideration will be given to all applicants who apply to UCAS by 15 January.

We aim to make a decision by the end of March, however, the final UCAS deadline for universities to make their decisions is early May.

If you apply after 15 January, the UCAS deadline for university decisions is mid-July.

When an offer is made, you’ll receive notification through Surrey Self-Service and UCAS Track.
