After months of careful crafting, rehearsing and collaborating, the Joyce Dixey finalists have their compositions performed in this evening showcase.
The Joyce Dixey competition never fails to bring out some of the most beautiful, creative and sometimes even quite wacky and experimental ideas from the mids of Surrey's student composers - which are transformed into music and sounds in an exceptionally refined and gripping competitive concert.
In this digital age, expect something a little out of the ordinary featuring laptops and electronics alongside more traditional ensembles. As usual, we're very excited to see what musical gems are in store for us this year...
Judith Bingham is a successful composer with a number of BBC Prom commissions and CD relseases to her name. She will be giving a talk on her music on 17 May in TB11.
