Unhinged, uncensored, underwired, a blonde, a cello, a mattress and a lot of digital playback…..
Entertaining, utterly off-the-wall, sensitive and at times extremely beautiful, this one-woman cabaret revue sweeps its audience from jazz funk to delicate string harmonics, Arabic lullaby to blues, minimalist intensity to shamanic thrash, soulful lyricism to serene baroque.

Musical pieces vie with theatrical interludes, linked together by the shimmering virtuosity of Martlew’s cello playing laced with the extended techniques of the avant-garde. Live performance blends with multi-layered vocal, instrumental and computer sample recordings.
Zoë Martlew studied at the Royal College and Academy of Music, Clare College, Cambridge and the Chopin Academy in Warsaw. As soloist she has performed at many festivals around the world, giving premieres of many pieces written for her.
