3RD YEAR BA ACTOR’S REP SEASON

‘…the stark and ancient outlines of the story provide a space … almost a playground… in which creative theatre makers can revel’ The Scotsman

Written in 1932 and first performed in 1933, Blood Wedding is a dark tragedy of prejudice, forbidden love, and arranged marriage, set in rural Andalucia, Spain.

This ensemble production uses Ted Hughes’ translation, which expresses the full passion and power of Lorca’s classic drama.
