A young girl disobeys her mother and takes a forbidden path through the woods. She meets a wolf. The story exists in many versions and from many different times and cultures across the world. It is a haunting, uneasy, enduring tale.
Third year Theatre Studies students have created a devised version of this tale as part of Theatre Spectacle, a module that explores narrative and image through contemporary devising practices.
Come into our enchanted woods, follow the story so far and discover what we think happens next.
Please note, this show contains themes and material of an adult nature and is unsuitable for under 12s.
"I'm interested in what Theatre Studies students find in their analysis and exploration of theatre; it's a process of discovery, revelation, transformation, one that should stay with the students and with those who attend long after the live performance might appear to be over." Stuart Andrews, Theatre Studies Subject Leader
