Matthew England Wins Vacation Bursary

The Ion Beam Centre is pleased to welcome back Mr Matthew England who has been awarded a 10 week EPSRC vacation bursary. Matthew has just finished the second year of his degree in electronic engineering at the University of Surrey. The aim of Matthew's project is to develop the capability to track cells in timelapse microscopy in the endstation of the Surrey Vertical Nanobeam. Timelapse microscopy will allow the study of the fate of individual cells after single ion irradiation.
