ATI showcase event at NPL on 12 December 2012
- When?
- Wednesday 12 December 2012
- Where?
- National Physical Laboratories, Teddington, Middlesex
- Open to:
- Public, Staff, Students
This event, titled "Hybrid organic-inorganic nanomaterials for functional devices: processing and metrology" will showcase the work of the University of Surrey ATI and partner groups. It will also provide opportunities for networking towards the development of new consortia for collaborative R&D or commercial projects, and the engagement of academia and industry with the nanomaterials, devices, processes and metrology focus areas.
There will be optional tours to discuss the capabilities and activities of two key NPL facilities relevant to this community - the Nanoanalysis group (hosted by Alex Shard) and the Polymer thin film group (hosted by Fernando Castro).
It will take place at the National Physical Laboratories (NPL) in Teddington and it will:
- Showcase the R&D performed by the University of Surrey team in the fields of organic and inorganic nano-materials, with an emphasis on their application to functional devices like transistors, energy generation, and photovoltaics, and on novel processes for manufacture. This will involve plenary talks, as well as an exhibition of research posters.
- Highlight the national characterisation and measurement capabilities in the field.
- Network the relevant academic and commercial supply-chains working with nanomaterials for printed electronics.
For more information and to register, please go to the event page on the NPL website. Tickets will cost £35 + VAT.
