PGR Conference poster success

Wednesday 14 March 2012

Mark Langridge, a first year PhD student at the ATI, supervised by Dr Vlad Stolojan and Dr David Cox, was awarded the second prize in the poster presenting category at the University of Surrey Postgraduate Research Conference.

The conference, which took place on 31 January-1 February 2012, invited researchers from every part of the University to come together and to share their research with others, from all disciplines. His poster, titled “The Manufacture of Optical Components near the Diffraction Limit”, described his work on the ion-milling of micro-lens moulds and was very well received. Mark joined the ATI in October 2011, having completed a Bachelors in Physics and a Masters in Nanotechnology and Nanoelectronics at the University of Surrey.
