Research Interests

I perform a supporting collaborative role within the Faculty particularly within the area of histopathology and haematology primarily within the field of toxicology. Our focus has been to understand the role of cell type-specific xenobiotic metabolism in localised toxicity and sites of injury and the investigation of possible interactions of xenobiotics particularly those that affect the thyroid.

Teaching

In the areas of histopathology, haematology, toxicology:

  • Level 1 - Practical Cell and Molecular Biology
  • MSc Toxicology Modules: TOXM003, TOXM006, TOXM007, TOXM008, TOXM009 TOXM010
  • BSc and MSc Research Project Supervision
  • Postgraduate research - Training in histological techniques

        Programme Director for the MSc Programme in Toxicology - a full-time programme that has been running since 1973. I'm always happy to hear updates from our graduates.
