How to apply for IAA funding
If you are interested in applying for IAA funding, please refer to the funding application process and guidelines below.
- Whether you are an external organisation looking to work with the University, or an academic unsure as to how to proceed, it is advised that you contact the IAA Project Officer in the first instance
- The IAA Project Officer will then direct you to the appropriate IAA Connector who will talk through your idea with you and offer you advice on how to complete the application form so that it meets the requirements of the review panel. If you are an external organisation, the IAA Connector can put you in touch with an academic here at University of Surrey
- The application process is simple; the form (to be completed by the Surrey academic) can be found here. You are asked to provide detail on the background to your project idea, the roadmap and milestones for completing it using IAA funds and any IP considerations. In addition to this, there are a few basic questions on start dates, project length, funding breakdown etc.
- Once your application is formally submitted, it will be reviewed by an expert panel with a decision given following the next IAA Project Board meeting (details of which will be published on the website in advance)
- Following the IAA Project Board meeting, you will be notified whether or not your application for funding has been successful. Please note that an applicant may be asked to provide further information if the review panel has any outstanding questions prior to approving an application.
The deadline for first round applications is Friday 8th February 2013 at 17.00.
