SWIRL
Surrey Water Innovation Research & Learning
SWIRL seeks to support societal and environmental needs through a community of people engaged at the University of Surrey in water related innovation, research and learning.
Members of SWIRL represent many of the wide range of disciplines required to deal with local or global water, wastewater and health related issues collaborating with external partners around the world. By working with partners we seek to add complementary skills to our research and help apply our academic knowledge, learning processes and understanding to solving "real-world" water challenges on Planet Water.
Mission
The mission of SWIRL is to integrate multi-disciplinary water research at the University of Surrey with research from academic partners for impact and implementation by end users around the world.
In our areas of expertise, we aim to be recognised as one of the leading European water research groups and a major player in delivering global water solutions.
We realise that water security is a grand challenge, bigger than any individual research centre, and therefore we actively seek to collaborate with others around the world.
