University Cancer Research Groups
The University of Surrey has a number of world-class researchers in cancer and includes unique research facilities. The network has been established to provide a forum to facilitate collaboration between research teams across the university and with external partners.
The research teams across the university fall broadly into several groups, and for ease of locating research partners, we have outlined the work of each of these groups in the tabs on this screen. The research areas are:
- Colorectal, other gastrointestinal and prostate cancers
- Ion beam studies, including applications to brain tumours
- Cancer imaging, particularly breast cancer imaging
- Radiotherapy and late effects
- Pharmacology, improving chemotherapy and developing new treatment strategies
- Clinical trials
