Use university facilities
The University is one of the largest and best located event venues in Surrey and has an enviable range of meeting and function rooms available all year round. With location being the top priority for most event organisers and delegates, the University is a perfect venue choice.
All facilities are conveniently located on our Stag Hill campus, which is within walking distance of Guildford town centre and rail station, adjacent to the A3 and only 9 miles from the M25. Guildford is only 35 minutes from central London. Free parking is available.
The impressive range of meeting rooms all have free wi-fi access, exhibition and display areas together with a choice of quality restaurants and bars ensure the University can host most events ranging from 10 to over 400 people. All meeting rooms are well equipped and serviced by our on-site audio visual team. Catering is provided by an experienced team of chefs who are always happy to provide bespoke menus and entertainment packages for social functions or corporate events.
We also have two year round training centres for up to 70 people. The Continuing Education Centre is a purpose built management training centre with six meeting rooms and a welcoming reception and refreshment area with lakeside views. Wates House is overlooked by Guildford Cathedral and has flexible meeting and exhibition space which lends itself well to presentations as it has a stage in one of the meeting rooms. Both centres offer packages at excellent value for money in a desirable and convenient location.
Residential conference organisers can choose from up to 1000 bedrooms during the University summer vacation period, 500 of which have private ensuite facilities. All bedrooms have a direct dial telephone and refreshment making facilities in kitchens nearby, and rooms are located close to meeting rooms and restaurants.
The central location, excellent range of facilities and experienced team of dedicated conference staff will ensure that the University of Surrey can successfully host a wide range of events in unique surroundings.
