Support Provided by CEAD

We support Faculty staff in using learning technology to enhance their practice and facilitate student learning. Our support extends from tailored advice and consultancy through to workshops and support documentation.

For practical advice, for example, how to use a particular technology, please refer to the technology support pages available for each technology available in the menu on the left. If you are unable to find the information you need, you can contact e-learning@surrey.ac.uk. Colleagues may also be able to answer your queries and a contact list appears on each support page of those who are currently using each technology and are willing to share their experiences.

We can offer a range of advice and consultancy to support curriculum design and embedding the use of technology to enhance learning, teaching and assessment. For example, if you are considering how technology could help you meet a particular need or aim, or want expert advice about how to design and support learning involving technology then please either contact the team via e-learning@surrey.ac.uk or a member of CEAD as identified on the about CEAD page. There are also case studies of technology-enhanced learning at Surrey which may inspire or inform your practice.

We also offer workshops designed and tailored to fit your context and needs. Through consultation we can plan sessions for teams or groups of colleagues who identify a particular need, common interest or area for development. These can focus on exploring, designing or implementing specific applications of one or more technology/ies and usually start with a particular learning and teaching issue, theme or area. Also we regularly run workshops open to staff from across the university, which focus on ways of using the following technologies to support and enhance learning - BoB, EVS, PebblePad, Turnitin Suite and ULearn. Upcoming sessions are shown on our technology related workshops page
