Over 41 years of Surrey Civil Engineering graduates at Kier

It is now over 41 years since the first of the Surrey graduates, Graham Boyle, joined Kier in 1969. The Kier Group is one of the UK's biggest and successful civil engineering contractors.
Graham is the General Manager of Kier Engineering Services and reports to Paul Sheffield, Surrey graduate from 1983, who is the Chief Executive Officer for the Kier Group. The photograph was taken on a visit to Kier at its headquarters at Tempsford Hall in Bedfordshire by Colin Howard, also a Surrey graduate from 1983. Also pictures are John Wilkinson and Chris Hickman (1992 and 2010 graduates) and Chris West who is sponsored by Kier and presently on his professional training placement with Kier Engineering Services. Kier have supported and sponsored students from Surrey Civil Engineering over four decades and continue to support the students on the programme by sponsoring the Bridge Design Contest.
There are currently 4 students who are directly sponsored by Kier who are at varies stages of their undergraduate study.
