Colin Howard has been presented with a special award in the Kevin Shaughnessy category.
Colin has given 25 years of service in a range of both academic and professional services arenas. This award is presented to him in recognition of his non-academic role as Dean of Students from 2002 to 2009. Colin's contribution has ensured that the Dean of Students office has developed into an effective professional service meeting the needs of students and staff alike. Colin has led by example, as evidenced by his diligence and his thoughtfulness and kindness in the workplace. His willingness to offer his already pressured time has earned him the respect and affection of all who have come into contact with him. He is held in very high regard and respected by colleagues across the University community.
About the award
The Kevin Shaughnessy award was established in memory of the former Head of Audio Visual Services who worked at the University for over 26 years. This award is presented to non-academic members of staff.
