Civil Engineering Alumni - Networking

In Civil Engineering, an initiative has begun to remake and maintain contacts with alumni (from our UG programmes, PGT and Research).
In November 2010 a LinkedIn Group was created and has grown steadily (it now has over 160 members). Current and retired staff are also encouraged to join the Group which is proving to be a helpful networking environment. It has already been very helpful in establishing new links for PTY placements, particularly overseas, and it is envisaged to become equally helpful in research and development areas.
