Institution of Civil Engineers - Inspire scholarship enrolls its new scholars for 2011/12

The University of Surrey, Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Inspire scholarship has just enrolled its new scholars for 2011/12.  

Currently 13 Level 1 and 6 Level 2 students have been matched to 15 different companies bringing the total number of scholars supported by the programme this year to 102.  The new scholars each receive a bursary of £1650 for the year and join their companies for industrial training in the Summer.  The Level 1 scholars work for a minimum of 8 weeks and Level 2 scholars start the professional training year.

 

 

The Scheme now moves forward to preparing for the 2012/13 intake.  Applications are due in on 19th March and interviews take place at the Institution of Civil Engineers’ headquarters in Westminster on 13th April.

Last Summer the scheme graduated 20 students: 18 returned to their sponsor and one moved to a different scholarship company.
