NCE graduate of the year awards 2012
Tom Wallace who graduated in June 2010 with a 1st class MEng from Surrey received a highly commended award in the NCE graduate of the year competition 2012. This meant he was third equal from a group of six finalists who were each given a 3 minute introduction on the night by BBC presenter Chris Hollins detailing their contributions to the industry.
Tom was sponsored by Tony Gee throughout his course and was part of the ICE Scholarship programme. Tom was a multi-prize winner at Surrey and we have no doubt he will go on to achieve further success.
Having recently headed up the design of a key £500,000 rail link into the London Olympics village site, Tom is again concentrating on his on-line skills to set up another networking site to offer civil engineers a formalised worldwide question and answer site on anything remotely civils based - what this space!
