Surrey Science Circus
Monday 17 September 2012
Saturday the 15 September was the 5th Surrey Science Circus at the University, run by Drs Kathryn Harkup and Anna Tanczos.
Thousands of people attended to witness the sun through telescopes, eat ice cream made with liquid nitrogen, learn about the science of zombies and vampires, make a disco run with bike power, see the Science Museum and learn about Glorious Blood, play giant buckaroo, make sketches of insects and much more. There was literally something for everyone and the smiling faces at the end of the day said it all. The University of Surrey opened its doors to the community at large and everyone learned something new and exciting about science. Anna said: "Each year the Science Circus gets bigger and better, I can't wait to see what we can add for next year."
