Surrey entrepreneur wins Santander award

Guillaume Devinat, a second year business management student at the University, received a Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Award on 6 July.
Guillaume received the second place award for founding Guitar Lesson Lounge Ltd - a company that produces high quality online video guitar lessons. With initial Seed funding from the University’s Research and Enterprise Support office (RES), the business has achieved more than 100,000 views on YouTube, nearly 400 members and clients across four continents and has already generated a positive cash flow.
The Award Ceremony, which took place at the Spanish Embassy in London, celebrated the active entrepreneurial approach of the British higher education sector. 45 universities participated in the event - with each university nominating several student entrepreneurs.
