Dr Jhuma Sadhukhan receives IChemE Junior Moulton Medal

Friday 1 June 2012

Dr Jhuma Sadhukan from CES, together with colleague Dr Kok Siew Ng from Manchester University have been awarded the IChemE Junior Moulton medal for 2011 for their paper: "Heat integration and analysis of decarbonised IGCC sites"

The Moulton medal is awarded to the authors of the best paper of a mature nature and the best by a member under 40 published by the Institution during the year.

Selection of the Junior Moulton medal follows the same criteria as for the Senior Moulton medal in that it is awarded to the author, or authors of the most meritorious paper published by IChemE during the last year, but recognises the best author, or co-author, who has graduated within the last 10 years at the time of submission of the paper. In the award of the Moulton Medals, IChemE looks to reward papers that are forward-looking in topic areas that will be important in the future, as well as papers on more traditional themes that will appeal to readers who are not experts in the subjects covered.

Dr Sadhukhan's and Dr Ng's paper awarded paper is: Ng KS, Lopez Y, Campbell GM, Sadhukhan J. (2010) 'Heat integration and analysis of decarbonised IGCC sites'. Chemical Engineering Research & Design, 88 (2A), pp. 170-188. doi: 10.1016/j.cherd.2009.08.002

Congratulations to Dr Sadhukhan and Dr Ng on this excellent achievement.
