Several recent bibliometric analyses have indicated the high impact of research publications from the division.
High impact of Chemical Sciences publications
A bibliometric analysis of publications from 2004-2008 by Dr Karen Gurney (Evidence, Thomson Reuters) indicate that those from the Chemical Sciences division have an average impact factor almost twice the average across national chemistry departments. You can see the full data below:

Highly cited papers by Prof Slade and Dr Varcoe
In the context of the ongoing preparation for REF submission in 2013, the FHMS Research Committee and Executive Board have highlighted success in recent publications from the division.
