Project Argus Professional is a multi-media Counter Terrorism presentation that takes the audience through an attack on a crowded city location. It analyses issues in the built environment that made the attack possible. It then challenges the audience to think how the likelihood of/or impact from such an attack could be reduced by the intelligent use of design and materials. The challenge for the 21st century is to make our built environment more resilient to terrorist attack without impinging on our ability to enjoy such places without draconian security measures.

Police Constable Graeme Ingate has worked for Surrey Police for 32 years. In a varied career he has worked uniform patrol, major crime investigations, training and Crime Reduction and Community Safety. He has been a Counter Terrorism Security Advisor for 2 years. Detective Constable Alan Dutton has worked for Surrey Police for 24 years. In his career he has undertaken a wide variety of investigative and intelligence based roles. He has been a Counter Terrorism Security Advisor for 6 years. The principal role of Counter Terrorism Security Advisor is Protection of Crowded Places Protection of sites holding hazardous substances Assisting the Centre for Protection of National Infrastructure in protecting critical assets in the UK.
