Cyberwarfare is a subject that has received a great deal publicity since the attacks on Estonia and Georgia and the Stuxnet malware in particular. Nation states are now devoting much more attention to the damage that can be inflicted upon them without a shot being fired and the probability that it will happen to them.
As always, there is a world of difference between what you see on the TV and in the movies and the reality of Cyberwarfare. This presentation looks at the probabilities; possible impacts and a whistle-stop tour through events to date. It will also suggest some approaches to readiness for cyberwar.
Part of the BCS series of meetings.
This event is open to Members and Non-Members. Students are particularly welcome.
