Java Mobile: BCS Young Professionals Workshop
Saturday 29 September 2007
The next in the series of Young Professionals Group (YPG) workshops for the Guildford Branch of the British Computer Society (BCS) will explore Java Mobile (mobile phone and J2ME) applications in detail. The session will take place on Tuesday 2nd October 2007 at 18:30 in 39BB02, and has been organised by Chris Culnane and Roger Peel.
Moving on from last week's workshop, the automatically-generated demonstration created last week will be re-presented in a simpler hand-crafted form, and this will then be elaborated into a bouncing ball demonstration (see example snapshot).
These workshops have been designed to be accessible to Computing students of all levels and Java experience, and the practical sessions will be interactive to allow for lots of questions.
The BCS Guildford YPG forum at contains a message that includes several links which provide more background on J2ME. We look forward to seeing you again on Tuesday. Bring your laptop and mobile phone.
