Identity Theft Doesn't Exist
David Birch, Director, Consult Hyperion
Identity, real identity, virtual identity, digital identity... Identity is a fractal concept: the closer you examine it, the more complex it becomes. When policy makers, business people and technologists talk about identity, it's not clear whether they are in the same library, let alone on the same page. If we are going to make any progress, we need a better model of identity in the modern world as a first step to making sensible decisions about identity management whether at the individual, organisational, national or international level.
Consult Hyperion is represented on the Department of Computing's Industrial Advisory Board, and employs two of our Professional Training students.
