Computing student nominated for IBM best student event

Monday 23 July 2007

Michelle Greensit, a former undergraduate of Surrey and a current masters student studying on the MSc in Internet Computing programme, was recently nominated for the IBM EMEA best student recognition event. Michelle visited the IBM La Gaude Laboratory, France, on the 11th to 13th July, together with a number of students from throughout the EMEA region.

Michelle was nominated by Malcolm Beattie, who recently ran the System z3 module on the masters programme for Surrey. The three day event was held to celebrate the students performing best across IBM EMEA. The programme for the event was designed around giving the students an insight into the different aspects of IBM, helpful if they should ever wish to apply for graduate positions with the company.
