Surrey Computing students to participate in IBM's University Team Challenge

Friday 8 August 2008

On 26th September, a group of 2nd year undergraduate students will visit IBM UK Labs at Hursley in Winchester to take part in IBM's University Team Challenge competition, formerly known as the ThinkPad Challenge.

Our students will compete against teams from 17 other universities. The University Team Challenge is designed for teams of 4, 5, or 6 members, and this year the team representing Surrey was selected from the Level 2 module on Modelling Multimedia Information

Students will visit IBM's research laboratories at Hursley near Winchester, take part in a series of challenging group games, find out more of what IBM do at Hursley, hear about some of IBM’s new technology developments, and get a better idea of the work experience opportunities IBM provides for gap year and vacation students.
