Computing Student receives Best Poster award at Surrey Postgraduate Research Conference

Congratulations to Computing PhD student Harshana Liyanage who was awarded the Best Overall Poster at the University of Surrey PGR Conference 2010 for Cloud Voting: Scalable Elections with End-to-end Verifiability using Cloud Infrastuctures.
The poster discussed the challenges involved in running secure and verifiable electronic elections, and proposed a cloud-based approach to enable scalability while maintaining security. Harshana is in the first year of his PhD, with the e-voting group.
