We are pleased to report a successful outcome to Islam's Confirmation viva on 13th January.  

The examiners were Dr Jordi Cabot of Ecole des Mines de Nantes, France, as external, and Dr Sotiris Moschoyiannis as internal; and the report was entitled "Formal Verification of Systems Modelled in fUML".  The examiners remarked that Islam had achieved a great deal in the first year of his PhD, resulting in publication of an international conference paper.  They also provided numerous valuable suggestions for the directions the PhD can now take, and we wish Islam all the best for a successful completion to his PhD.  Islam's supervisor is Prof Steve Schneider.
