Department celebrates successful PhD Conference

The 8th Annual Computing Department PhD Conference was a celebration of the quality work and multidisciplinary nature of the Computing Department at the University of Surrey. This year, the conference had 10 paper presentations, 7 research posters, 5 awards and 2 highly recognised keynote speakers with the presence of Prof. Karen Kirkby (Director of FEPS Graduate School), Prof. Tony Ho (Head of the Computing Department) as well as representatives from BCS and the industry (Thales, HP, ideo).  The distinguished speakers were Prof Chris Firth, Chief Scientist, Thales Research and Technology, and Prof Edward Tsang, Essex University

Thanks to all who participated and joined us to acknowledge the authors' hard work and the success of the department overall.
