Biography
Amin started his PhD study at Surrey from Jan. 2012. His principle supervisor is Dr Saeid Sanei. His project is about multiple car number plate recognition and the abstract of the project is the following:
Analysis of video sequences of moving cars (which provides both time and space information) and develop a motion detection algorithm which detects the moving vehicles (i.e. all stationary background including parked vehicles will be discarded.), develop an algorithm which focuses on the car number plates (for multiple moving cars) recorded from multiple moving objects, and mitigate the noise, blurring effect, clutter, occlusion, and motion artifacts using the temporal information of the video. This requires the plates to be tracked using adaptive motion detection and multiple source localization algorithms.
