Research Interests

My research interests are in the field of Biologically Inspired Computing, investigating both the theoretical properties and practical applications of Computational Neuroscience Models, Neural Networks, Evolutionary Algorithms and other Machine Learning techniques. Specific topics investigated include Computational Modelling of Psychiatric Illnesses, Cognitive Modelling (variable binding, inference and extrapolation), Adaptive Robotics, Bioinformatics (sequence-function prediction and rule extraction/data mining from neural networks trained on sequence datasets) and Medical Applications of Intelligent Systems.
