Biography

I have worked previously at the University of York for 24 years with a break of service.  My last post was as Secretary in the Department of Computer Science, supporting the HCI research group, administrator for PhD students, and also working on recruitment for a taught MSc course, Information Technology.  I left York in 1998 and began work at the University of Surrey in 1999.  Initially I was employed on a temporary basis in the School of Biological Sciences.  I went to work on a permanent basis for the School of International Languages and Law as School Secretary. A little later I rejoined the School of Biological Sciences as the Administrator for the MSc Clinical Biochemistry with Molecular Biology.  I spent 8 years in this post, until the restructuring programme which took place in 2007.  Following these changes, I took up a post in the Computing Department in the newly formed Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences.

I am the Research Secretary, supporting all research activity in the Department as well as looking after the PhD Students.  My role has been developing over the last year and I am now dealing with Demonstrating and conference work.

Research Interests

None of my own of course, but currently supporting Professor Paul Krause, Professor of Software Engineering and also Professor Anthony Ho.
