Biography

I completed my bachelor's degree in computer science from Athens University of Economics and Business in 2009. After that I joined the University of Surrey for the information systems master's degree which I completed in 2010. My immense interest for the exploration and decoding of the neural code, as well as my passion for research, led me to join the Nature Inspired Computer Engineering (NICE) research group of the University of Surrey's Department of Computing, as a research student (2010 - present).

Research Interests

My interests include the use of polychronization as a theory of working memory as well as exploring spiking neural networks in general in order to link cognitive functions with the neural code.

Supervisor: Dr Matthew Casey

Co supervisor: Dr Andre Gruning
