Biography

Dr Clive Cheong Took joined the Department of Computing at the University of Surrey in August 2012.

Prior to this appointment, he worked as a research associate at Imperial College London. In particular, his contribution was in the area of multidimensional signal processing with applications in renewable energy, biomedicine, finance and telecommunication. His other research interests include neural networks, machine learning for evolving environments, pattern recognition, source separation, and matrix analysis.

Clive read his PhD in biomedical signal processing at Cardiff University in 2007, and received his bachelor degree from Kings College of London in 2004. He gratefully acknowledges the receipt of awards namely the Layton Science Research Award and the Overseas Research Scholarship. Clive serves as a reviewer for conferences and journals such as IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and  was delighted to deliver a joint tutorial on quaternion-valued signal processing at EUSIPCO 2011 in Barcelona.
