Bill Bruford in conversation with Prof Steve Goss
As a curtain-raiser to tonight’s concert, Steve Goss talks to Bill Bruford, King Crimson’s drummer for 25 years. Bill will talk about his work with King Crimson, Yes, Genesis and Earthworks.
7:30pm Delta Saxophone Quartet in Concert
Gwilym Simcock, one of the UK’s most imaginative jazz composers, joins forces with one of Europe’s most distinguished new music ensembles in a premiere performance of Crimson! Crimson! draws its inspiration from the work of the UK progressive rock band King Crimson and combines the skills and tastes of music, somewhere beyond the shores of classical, jazz and rock. Gwilym Simcock is a winner of the Perrier Award, BBC Jazz Awards 2005 and British Jazz Awards 2005.
