Welcome to the web pages for the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering.
We are proud of our established history as the oldest continuing chemical engineering programme in England. Offering flexible BEng and MEng undergraduate programmes in Chemical Engineering, all our programmes are accredited by the Instiution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE).
With strong industrial links, the option of a fully integrated year of professional training, our graduates enjoy excellent employment prospects in the chemical and process engineering sectors, amongst many others. Our suite of versatile, highly successful MSc postgraduate programmes cover the subject areas of Process and Information Systems Engineering and Petroleum and Renewable Energy Systems Engineering.
Our real-life teaching environment and purpose-built facilities offer students the chance to work on complete pilot chemical manufacturing processes and we enjoy strong links with major industry players.
