Dr Ahmet Yazaydin involved in collaborative research for worlds highest surface area record

Dr Ahmet Yazaydin and a group of collaborative researchers across a group of Universities recently set a record in materials research with the worlds highest surface area.

The research involved synthesizing, characterizing, and computationally simulating/validating the behavior of two new metal−organic framework (MOF) materials displaying the highest experimental Brunauer−Emmett−Teller (BET) surface areas of any porous materials reported to date (~7000 m2/g).

More information can be found in the published paper Metal−Organic Framework Materials with Ultrahigh Surface Areas: Is the Sky the Limit?
