Research

Research in the department covers a wide range of areas including water quality and environmental health, through to multi-disciplinary themes such as Materials and Structures and Fluids and Vehicles which are conducted in close collaboration with colleagues in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Sciences.

We are also joint winners of the Queen's Award for wide-ranging and global work improving access to safe drinking water and sanitation.
