Clinical and Medical Team
The clinical and medical team is made up of professional and experienced research nurses and doctors working together to give 24 hour medical cover to the unit. In addition to the permanent staff, we also have a bank of nurses and doctors to assist us at busier times. The nursing team is comprised of experienced practitioners and researchers, including some specialists in surgical and respiratory medicine.
All clinical staff receive Intermediate Life and Defibrillation training and Anaphylaxis training annually. The medical staff all receive Advanced Life Support training. They are therefore regularly updated on the latest guidelines for emergency procedures.
The safety of our clinical research subjects is at the heart of all the work we undertake. Therefore, the Centre houses two hospital resuscitation trolleys which are fully equipped according to the British Resuscitation Guidelines.
